We’re all going to have to wait longer to see Ben Simmons make his debut in the 2021-22 season.
The guard who the Brooklyn Nets dealt for earlier this year was apparently set to play in Monday’s Game 4 as the team tries to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics,
But ESPN reported that Simmons’ back — a herniated disc has been the problem for him in recent months — was sore on Sunday, so the Nets decided to keep him out.
That led to the entirety of Twitter — including some big names — to pile on Simmons, despite the fact that the guard coming back to what probably would have been limited minutes wouldn’t have done much to help a Nets team on the ropes.
