Ben Shephard shared his heartbreak over over the death of a Tipping Point contestant prior to the episode airing tonight.
The host, 47, paid tribute to the guest on Twitter as he revealed the news to fans.
Sharing a photo of himself standing next to contestant Rav in the studio, he wrote: "Since we recorded today’s Tipping Point, Rav’s family have shared the sad news of his passing.
"I loved playing alongside him, and along with all the Tipping Point team we are sending his family and friends all our love."
Fans flocked to comment, with one writing: "Always sad to hear of someone passing between the record & the airing. Am sure that all of us on the #TippingPoint feed send our condolences to his family & friends. @TippingPointITV."
While another commented: "Watching this and thinking what a genuinely lovely gent. And then I saw this. So so sad.. My heart goes out to his family."
A third wrote: "Oh no so sad was watching tonight, lovely man he seemed. Rip."
"Watching this now, my sincere condolences to all the family, what a genuinely lovely guy. RIP xx," another tweeted.
Rav made it to the final round and - while he wasn't too successful with his questions - managed to bag £2,750.
With the jackpot counter very far away from the bottom deck, he was asked by Ben whether he was still going to risk it.
"I reckon if I had another 18 counters I might just get there," Rav quipped.
