Ben Shephard has intense physio session to help injured leg after nasty surgery

Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard is trying to fix his injured leg with the help of physio sessions.

The presenter, 46, recently had surgery after he had ruptured his ACL, torn his meniscus and fractured his leg during a football match.

Ben has now turned to a physiotherapist in a bid to stimulate his sore muscles and get himself up and running again.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, he shared a video clip of his leg covered in stimulating muscle patches, which looked intense.

"It's alive!! Back on the @compex_uk trying to stimulate my quad - feels and looks v odd!" Ben penned next to the video.

The TV star was then filmed slowly squatting down on a power plate machine, telling fans he was working on his knee flexibility.

To finish off his recovery session, Ben sat down and kicked his feet against a huge cube.

He wrote: "These are called #tempertantrums def have some form here."

Ben was welcomed back onto GMB yesterday morning after his leg operation around two weeks ago.

Delighted that he was back, Ben's co-host Susanna Reid announced: "Hello stranger! Welcome back!"

"Thank you very much," Ben replied.

Susanna pointed out: "You look slightly uncomfortable - I'm just going to get the mini cam."

She then zoomed in on Ben's leg, which was propped up by a chair.

"I just thought, I've been off for a few weeks, I'm going to start bringing in the changes! I feel like I should be able to do the show with my feet up!"

Ben previously shared a photo and videos of himself in hospital on his Instagram Stories, saying: "Op happens today!! so far so good - arrow on the correct leg @andipeters on the tv + super stylish socks in place."

A few hours later, a tired Ben addressed his fans as he said: "Hi everybody, thank you for all the amazing, lovely messages. For those who didn't know, I ruptured my ACL and tore my meniscus in my knee playing football."

He is slowly recovering from the painful injury, taking things day-by-day.
