Former Manchester United winger Nani was pitched the idea of joining Wrexham by goalkeeper and ex-teammate Ben Foster at Soccer Aid.
The duo were playing for the Rest of the World XI at the UNICEF charity event hosted at Old Trafford. As has been a custom of Foster's later career, the 40-year-old took his GoPro along to film the action for his YouTube vlog.
After his team won 4-2 at the Theatre of Dreams against an England XI, Foster took his camera into the celebrations where he propositioned Nani. "Nani hasn't got a club everybody," the 'keeper began.
"I think he should come to Wrexham..." A smiling Nani politely replied: "You never know," albeit Foster was not convinced the winger would take him up on the offer.

Now 36, the Portuguese forward spent last season at Australian club Melbourne Victory. However, following partial damage to his cruciate ligament, he only managed 10 appearances this season and is set to leave the club this summer.
Meanwhile, Foster has committed himself to the Red Dragons for another season after they won promotion to the Football League. Originally, the former United man signed a short-term contract in coming out of retirement to replace the injured Rob Lainton. However, after playing every minute since arriving, Foster put pen to paper on a new one-year deal last week.
Speaking about renewing at the Racecourse Ground, he said: "At the end of last season it was obvious that I enjoyed being at the club, I loved being part of the team and everything that Wrexham stands for.
"The fans took to me so warmly, Phil Parkinson is brilliant, Steve Parkin is top class, I love Aidan Davison to bits, and the co-chairmen [Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney] are out of this world. I’d decided before the end of last season I wanted to do it, because it feels like home. I’ve never joined a football club and felt at ease so quickly."
