Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds gave him an original glove from Deadpool after securing promotion to the Football League.
Foster arrived at the Racecourse Ground following an injury to first choice keeper Rob Lainton. Since his arrival, the 40-year-old has played every match for the Red Dragons helping the club win the National League title.
After celebrating their return to the fourth tier of English football, Foster explained Reynolds wanted to give the ex-Premier League star a gift for his efforts since arriving in North Wales. Speaking on his podcast, Fozcast, he said: "This is incredible right so, Ryan Reynolds text me the day of the [Boreham Wood] game to say: 'Can I have your shirt?'

"I was like: 'Yeah cool' and he was like: 'Cool, because I've got something for you as well.' I was like: 'What on Earth's this?' So anyway he texted me yesterday and said: 'I forgot to tell you what it is'.
"He says: 'I was going through my memorabilia the other day of Deadpool and I found the original gloves I wore in the film.'"
One of these gloves was given to Jay Fear, a Wrexham fan with terminal appendix cancer. Foster said Reynolds gave him the other glove because he had seen him give away his for free on several occasions and received nothing back in return. Always the joker, Reynolds responded to Foster's Instagram post.
"I’m also gifting you the Deadpool underwear," he posted. "Which, to be fair, smells better than the shirt you gave me."
