Ben Foster met Ryan Reynolds after Wrexham's 3-0 win against York City in front of a record crowd at the Racecourse on Saturday.
Goals from Sam Dalby and Elliot Lee - as well as an own goal by Ryan Whitley - ensured Wrexham remain three points ahead of promotion rivals Notts County at the top of the National League table. It was a special day for goalkeeper Foster, who made his second debut for Wrexham after signing a short-term contract with the Welsh club.
Wrexham's Hollywood owners Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were joined by 10,161 fans to watch the action unfold - the highest attendance at the Racecourse this season.
Foster, 39, re-joined Wrexham during the week following a season-ending injury to first-choice goalkeeper Rob Lainton. The former Manchester United stopper was without a club after leaving Watford following their relegation from the Premier League last term.
Foster, who has gained more than one million subscribers on YouTube, initially played for Wrexham during a loan spell in 2005. He revealed his excitement at meeting Reynolds after re-signing for the club and got the chance to do that on Saturday.
Foster spoke to Wrexham's in-house media at full-time. He said, "Doddle mate - 3-0, clean sheet, bosh! Just met Ryan Reynolds in the tunnel - doesn't get much better, days don't get much better than that. Going out for a lovely dinner tonight - lovely Saturday."

The former England international explained his decision to join Wrexham in a special edition of his Fozcast podcast. He said, "I don’t need much [money] - to be honest, the negotiations took about five minutes... Wages wise, it’s literally peanuts... the part for me is getting the team over the line and getting them promoted."
Foster added, "Apparently Ryan is going to give me a call later today! Van Wilder is one of my favourite films! Buzzing to talk to him later. They are so prevalent at the football club, they are always there... it’s not like a plaything, they want to be a part of it."
Although Foster enjoyed a day to remember on Saturday, the most important thing for Wrexham was the three points. Phil Parkinson's side have picked up 97 points so far this season, but their promotion still hangs in the balance with seven games remaining.
Parkinson said, "The pitch was slow because of the weather and the fluency at times wasn't quite there. I still felt we created enough in the opening exchanges to get the goal.
"I sensed something would come. It's a fantastic strike from James Jones to get us off and running and it was a good solid performance from us against a well-organised team. We kept our cool and handled the situation well and have come away convincing winners.
"It was always a big call whether to play Ben Foster because he hasn't played for so long. He was 100 per cent adamant he was ready. What a great day for us - that's the big thing, that he's come through the game in terrific fashion. He was excellent."
