Ben Foden 'bitter' over Dancing On Ice exit as he says standard was high from the start

Ben Foden has admitted that he's still feeling "bitter" after being voted out of Dancing On Ice.

The 36-year-old former rugby player was the first celebrity to be eliminated in this year's series after skating with his partner Robin Johnstone.

Unsurprisingly, the three people who have made it to the grand final are Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt, and Regan Gascoigne.

Speaking about the upcoming final episode, Ben wrote in his Closer magazine column: "The Dancing On Ice final takes place this weekend, and I can't wait to see who wins!

"I've been watching the show obsessively this year - mostly because I starred in this series, but was sadly voted out in the first week.

"So while I've been loving it, I'm still also feeling a bit bitter that I wasn't able to learn more," Ben continued.

"I'm really competitive so I was gutted when I went out first. The only way I can come to terms with it is appreciating how high the standard was this year.

"From the beginning, Regan, Brendan and Kimberly have been unbelievable and the ones to watch. I don't think they've ever scored lower than an eight and a half.

"And I think because there was a week's break between the semi-final and the final, the routines we're going to see at the weekend will be amazing. This could be the best DOI final ever," the father-of-three added.

The Dancing On Ice final was actually pushed back a week due to football being on on Sunday 20 March.

There was a double elimination in the semi-final the week before which saw both Connor Ball and Kye Whyte sent home.

The Dancing On Ice Final airs Sunday 27 March at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
