Ben Doak says the top standard at Liverpool was a driving factor behind his move from Celtic to Anfield.
Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou was an admirer of the teenage winger and handed him some senior minutes in a derby match against Rangers, but the youngster opted to move to Merseyside for cash in the region £600,000 earlier this year. He's hit top form since moving south, netting in the UEFA Youth League and scoring on his Scotland U21s debut.
Now he's getting to learning from someone like Liverpool star Mo Salah but the 16-year-old says the decision to leave Celtic was difficult. He told the Scottish Sun: "At first, the decision to leave wasn’t an easy one. But once I went down and saw the standards and the facilities, it’s top level.

"At the same time, Celtic is the club who made me the person and player I am. I owe them everything. I still speak to a lot of the boys and keep up with the results.
"I look up to Mo Salah. Even if he’s not having his greatest game he always pops up with a goal.
“I’ve not seen the first-team guys too often, but I think it’s deliberate to make you want to get up there. If I saw them all the time it would be normal. It should be a privilege to be there with them.
“There have been a lot of adjustments for me over the last few months, but I’ve been comfortable and done really well with the changes. It’s mostly been about getting to know new people, the football hasn’t really changed."
