Ben Doak Celtic to Liverpool transfer 'confirmed' as Parkhead youngster seals £600,000 move

Ben Doak has completed his move to Premier League giants Liverpool, according to reports.

And while the move is yet to be formally announced, pictures circling on social media show him posing in the Anfield dressing room.

The 17-year-old has been a long reported target for the Reds and is renowned as one of the most promising talents in the Celtic academy.

He recently fired a hat-trick for Scotland U17s and helped fire them to the European Championships.

And now it's being reported by The Athletic that Liverpool have rubber-stamped the signing with an announcement expected imminently.

It's claimed Celtic have banked a £600,00 compensation fee for the youngster who hadn't yet signed a professional deal.

The attacking midfielder had been lined up for a big future at Celtic Park with Ange Postecoglou giving him his senior debut off the bench earlier this season.

He added to that with a three-minute cameo in the 3-0 win over Rangers but hasn't been seen since with transfer speculation swirling.

Doak is now expected to head to Anfield as Jurgen Klopp continues to build for the future.

It's a similar move to the one that saw the Reds land 16-year-old Harvey Elliott from Fulham and he has gone on to become a first team regular this season.
