Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell has admitted that he still can't believe that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka ever played as a left-back.
Saka has established himself as one of the best right-wingers in Europe over the last few months, netting 12 Premier League goals and providing a further ten assists to help the Gunners build up an eight-point gap at the top of the table. However, the Hale End academy graduate operated as a full-back for a period three seasons ago.
The 21-year-old had filled in at left-back when Kieran Tierney had been injured and was even utilised as a left-wing-back in a back five for a short period of time, something that has left England teammate Chilwell bemused. “I can’t believe he (Saka) played at left-back when he can do that,” the Blues ace said following The Three Lions' 2-0 victory over Ukraine, a game that saw Saka score and set up the other goal.

“Such a great talent. I think everyone can see what he gives on the pitch. He is one of the best people I have met in football as well.
"We see him on a daily basis around camp and he just brings happiness to everyone else. He is always smiling and a good guy to be around, and then he comes out on the pitch and delivers like that for us.
“An assist and a goal and it ultimately wins us the game. I am delighted for him.”
