Ben Affleck recently closed escrow on a luxurious $20.5 million mansion in Los Angeles, coinciding with his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez's 55th birthday celebrations. The Oscar winner acquired the lavish property in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood, while their marital home remains on the market.
The day Affleck finalized the purchase, Lopez concluded the sale of her NYC condo. Both real estate transactions occurred on July 24, which also marked the singer's birthday.
Affleck's new residence reportedly features 5 bedrooms with walk-in closets and 6 bathrooms. The main house includes breakfast and dining areas, a family room, den, and a media room with a dedicated powder room. Additionally, there is a separate guest house on the property.
Despite their past union in July 2022, Affleck and Lopez have been spending the summer on opposite coasts. Affleck was notably absent from Lopez's birthday festivities in the Hamptons and did not join her for their 2-year wedding anniversary on July 16.
While Lopez enjoyed her summer in Bridgehampton, Affleck remained in Los Angeles for business engagements. The couple has been attempting to sell their 38,000-square-foot home since June, initially pursuing an off-market sale before recently listing it publicly.
The pair originally purchased their expansive 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom home in June 2023 for over $60 million. They have now listed the property for $68 million and are reportedly eager to secure a sale.
