Ben Adams 'exposed' as Norway's Eurovision act by Graham Norton after weeks of speculation

A1 star Ben Adams was 'exposed' as one of Norway's Eurovision contestants live on air by Graham Norton during Saturday night's final.

Subwoolfer were definitely one of the most talked about acts in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, thanks to their eye catching bright yellow wolves in suits costumes. As soon as they were selected as Norway's act and people got sight of the disguises, speculation started on who it was inside of them.

A big theory from get-go was that Subwoolfer were Ylvis, the duo responsible for giving us ear-worm novelty hit What Does The Fox Say a few years ago. Given that Subwoolfer released their song Give That Wolf a Banana on the record label Ylvis are signed with, that suggestion definitely carries a lot of weight.

However, another person who saw their name linked to Subwoolfer time and time again was Ben, who shot to fame at the turn of the millennium as one of A1, the boyband who topped the charts with Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You and had other its with the likes of Be The First to Believe, Like A Rose and Ready or Not.

The group have strong links with Norway, given that band member Christian hails from there and the theory that Ben was one of Subwoolfer was heightened after he spoke to fans during a pre-Eurovision party in London earlier this year. And, then during the BBC's coverage of the Eurovision final, commentator Graham appeared to let the cat ou of the bag.

After Subwoolfer finished, the talk show host remarked: "You've just heard the word 'yum' 90 times," before adding: "So we think the shorter wolf is Ben, Ben Adams from the boyband A1."

As Subwoolfer performed 7th in the Eurovision final on Saturday night, social media was awash with posts from fans convinced Ben was on stage. One tweeted: "I kind of hope they win. This is pure, distilled #Eurovisio. Also if that isn't Ben Adams I will eat my grandma," with a second posting: "As a fan of A1, I have to say that if Keith from Subwoolfer is not Ben Adams, then I'm a banana."
