Belsonic Belfast: PSNI warn of traffic delays as road set to close

Gig-goers and drivers have been issued with a warning ahead of tonight's concert at Ormeau Park.

Dermot Kennedy will take to the stage once again on Sunday, September 19, to mark the end of his two-night stint performing to Belfast fans at Belsonic.

Similarly to last night, traffic disruption is anticipated around South and East Belfast.

Drivers are advised to bear this in mind when making journeys from the afternoon onwards.

Ormeau embankment will be closed to through traffic from the Ormeau Road junction to the Ravenhill Road junction from 4pm until midnight.

Coaches and buses transporting people to the Belsonic concert will be facilitated by approaching the embankment from the Ormeau Road junction.

Police asked gig-goers to consider using public transport.

A PSNI statement said: "If you are arranging collection by private car or taxi after the event, please agree your collection points well away from the venue and please respect local residents."
