Belsonic 2023: What you can and cannot bring into the festival site at Ormeau Park

Excitement is in the air as Belsonic 2023 returns with a massive line-up of stars this weekend.

From Tom Jones to Florence and the Machine to The Prodgiy, thousands of eager fans will be heading to Ormeau Park over the next month to see their favourite performers in Belfast.

Kicking off on Saturday, June 3 and running until June 30, here are a number of safety precautions you should be aware of before heading to any of the gigs.

What can I not bring into Ormeau Park for Belsonic?

Do not bring:

  • Alcohol
  • Food
  • Glass or cans
  • Fireworks, flags, laser pens or pointers
  • Spikes, studs or anything dangerous
  • Umbrellas or poles
  • Fold up or blow up chairs or garden furniture (with exception of fold up chairs for Tom Jones)
  • Professional audio or visual recording equipment

You will not be allowed in with any of these items and there are no lockers for storage. Prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of accordingly

Football or GAA tops will not be permitted on the concert site.

Is there food and drink at Belsonic?

A wide range of catering and bar facilities will be available.

Food or drink not purchased on site cannot be taken into the venue, there will be searches in place.

Please contact the Promoter directly should you require to bring food for medical reasons at info@ belsonic.com.

Photo ID is required for sale of alcohol at event.

Please note it is the concertgoer’s responsibility to prove their age when requested.

You must have ID to prove your age especially if you are deemed to not meet age policies for the event.

Is there a cloakroom or ATM at Belsonic?

There are no cloakroom or locker facilities on site.

If there will be ATM machines on site, Belsonic will post on their social media to confirm.

Some DO NOT points:

Do not drink alcohol on board buses as it is illegal to do so.

Enforcement and Seizure Operations will be in place at various locations on main roads to the venue & along pedestrian routes within the immediate vicinity of the venue - offenders will be liable for a £1000 fine.

Do not park illegally.

Do not buy tickets from unofficial sources.

Do not rush the exits after the concerts.

Do not crowd surf, mosh or partake in antisocial behaviour as you will be removed from the venue without refund and relevant authorities will be notified.
