'Beloved' Toblerone chocolate bar discontinued after 'difficult decision'

A TOBLERONE chocolate bar has been discontinued, a confectionary brand has confirmed.

Mondelez, responsible for making the chocolate bar, exclusively told The Sun that customers will not be able to buy one of its sweet treats going forward.

A Toblerone bar is known for its unique shape and a few flavours have been made available over the years but now fans will not be able to buy the dark chocolate version.

A spokesperson for the company told The Sun that the decision had been a “difficult” one, as they explained that the Toblerone Dark (360g) bar would no longer be sold in the UK.

They added: “While we understand that this may be disappointing for some consumers, we continue to invest in Toblerone.”

One fan of the chocolate bar took to X to share their love for the snack: “Dark chocolate toblerone my beloved”.

Recently, someone asked on the social media platform whether the chocolate bar had been discontinued and now they have their answer.

They said they had struggled to find it: “@MDLZ Hi has dark chocolate Toblerone been discontinued in the UK as unable to find in shops or online? Thanks”.

On Reddit, one user said a year ago: “Ok people. There's a week till Christmas and there's not a Dark Toblerone in sight anywhere.

“Does anyone know where all the dark Toblerones are? I'm going to have literally nothing to give my dad for Christmas if I can't track down at least one Dark Toblerone.”

The news comes as a discontinued chocolate bar made by Mondelez, who also owns Cadbury, was discovered at a discounted price this month.

In 2024, Cadbury re-launched its Top Deck chocolate bar as part of the company's 200th anniversary celebrations.

The 90s chocolate bar consists of two layers of creamy white and milk chocolate, giving fans "the best of both worlds".

Top Deck was first released in the UK back in 1993 before being discontinued in the early 2000s.

Nearly a year on and Cadbury's Top Deck chocolate bar is still available in stores across the UK.

It's available to buy at major supermarkets including Tesco (£1.65), Asda (£1.48), Morrisons (£2) and Iceland (£1.25).

However, it's currently available for just 75p in Farmfoods - a saving of £1.25 from the likes of Morrisons.

This is a slight increase from the 69p the Cadbury chocolate bar was on sale for at Farmfoods late last month.
