A local fruit and veg shop is set to cease trading in Stoneybatter.
The Green Grocer Stoneybatter, located on Manor Street, will soon shut its doors after several years in operation. The news was confirmed in an Instagram post created by Stoneybatter Pop, who shared an update from the owner.
The post was captioned: "It is with a heavy heart we will soon say goodbye to this Stoneybatter institution. Tom has announced that The Green Grocer Stoneybatter will shut their doors to concentrate on other parts of the business and we wish them the very best in the future."

Customers were reassured that the business will continue to function in an online capacity. Stoneybatter Pop paid tribute to the shop's important role during the Covid-19 lockdowns, as well as its beautiful displays that brightened up the streetfront.
Several residents reacted to the sad news underneath the original post. They thanked staff for serving the local community and wished them well in their future endeavours.
One person wrote: "Hope someone else will take over so we still have a local greengrocer- I will really miss it."
Another comment read: "It is a sad day for the parish. Best of luck on the new adventure."
The last day of trading for the shop was not revealed in the post.
