A Nottinghamshire woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in Wollaton. Nawroz Marzan, 41, was on her way to do the shopping for her family when she was struck by a car on the pedestrian crossing at the bottom of Western Boulevard during the morning of Thursday, January 26.
The mum of four has remained at Queen's Medical Centre since the incident, which left her spine being broken in two places, a broken arm and rib, a head injury and a leg injury.
Officers called Nawroz's husband, who asked to remain anonymous, from the scene. He said it didn't feel real and it "felt like a bad dream."

He said: "Since the 26th of January until this moment, my wife lies in the hospital bed with unbearable pain and agony leaving four children behind at home. She was very unstable for three or four days, now she is stable, but she cannot move so she is just lying on her back. We are lucky she is alive.
"We are all emotionally and physically under pressure from this incident."
He added: "We still don't know exactly what happened, my wife couldn't remember anything after, they were asking her what her door number was and she couldn't remember."
Due to her injuries, doctors are still deciding whether or not his wife needs surgery. Family members are asking with anyone with information to come forward to the police.
According to a nearby resident who came out after the incident, the car involved in the incident was silver and had a male driver.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson has confirmed officers were called to Western Boulevard at 11.56am on January 26 to a collision between a car and a pedestrian, where a woman was taken to hospital as a result. Officers are still investigating what happened and would like to hear from any witnesses.
