Bella Hadid reveals she overcame ‘nerves’ to attend Beyoncé’s A-list bash

Bella Hadid may be one of the world’s most famous supermodels but that doesn’t mean she’s immune from getting nervous before attending A-list soirees, especially when it’s a party for Beyoncé.

In fact, the 26-year-old has revealed how she overcame near-crippling insecurity to attend Queen Bey’s birthday bash last September, as she unveiled her first official campaign with Charlotte Tilbury.

The runway star was announced as Tilbury’s newest muse in March joining Jordan Dunn, Kate Moss, Lily James, Michaela Jae Rodriguez, and Han So-hee as one of the faces of the British makeup and skincare brand.

As she launched their new Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur campaign, Hadid reflected on how the brand’s fellow muse and Artistry Director, Sofia Schwarzkopf-Tilbury, helped her overcome self-doubt ahead of the music icon’s A-list 41st birthday celebration.

Described as “one of the most star-studded events of the year, or perhaps ever”, the fashion star joined the likes of Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, as well as Drake, Zendaya, Lizzo and Adele at Beyonce’s roller-disco-themed soiree at mansion in Bel Air.

Reflecting on the moment, she shared: “Honestly, we fell in love the first time that we met, and she [Schwarzkopf-Tilbury] did my make-up for Beyoncé’s birthday party, and I was having honestly having a kind of insecure day.

“I had just flown in, and I was feeling pretty nervous to go to a party like this after not being out for a while. What I noticed about Sofia, she made me feel beautiful not only from the outside but from within too.

“It's something I take very seriously, and I know she does to so I'm grateful for her and her care and her true love for the art of make-up but also for the power of how you could feel while wearing it.”

Aside from attending A-list parties, Hadid heaped praise on beauty guru Charlotte Tilbury as she described her official first campaign with the brand as “a dream come true”.

She shared: “It’s a dream come true to be on this beauty journey with Charlotte, launching our first official campaign together. She is such a creative force in the beauty community with her magnetic energy and unparalleled innovations. I cannot wait for everyone to see the magic we’ve created.”

“As a huge fan of Charlotte’s myself, it’s been a real ‘pinch me’ moment to be able to work with her on this campaign for her latest innovation – Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur.”
