Morocco stand between Belgium and a potential early passage to the World Cup last-16 today.
Roberto Martinez’s side were incredibly poor for much of their opening match against Canada, their defence run ragged particularly in the first-half and they had Thibaut Courtois to thank for saving Alphonso Davies’ penalty. Michy Batshuayi’s goal was enough to give Belgium a fortunate win.
As for Morocco, they held Croatia to a goalless draw, holding their own and limiting the 2018 World Cup finalists to limited opportunities in front of goal.

They would be delighted with another point, going into their final group-stage match against Canada, so the onus is on Belgium to force the issue.

Belgium vs Morocco prediction
There was plenty for Martinez to be concerned about in that opening match for Belgium, their defence in particularly looking extremely vulnerable to pace.
Morocco are unlikely to be able to offer the same threat that Canada did, with Belgium having enough quality in forward areas to edge another tight encounter.
Belgium to win, 1-0.
