Max Verstappen will start the Belgian Grand Prix from 11th in the grid in the last F1 race before the 2024 summer break.
Verstappen qualified fasted but the Red Bull driver has a 10-place grid penalty for exceeding his permitted number of engine components.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc will start from pole position after qualifying second fastest behind Verstappen, with Sergio Perez promoted to the front row after qualifying in third.
Lewis Hamilton will start third for Mercedes at Spa-Francorchamps. The McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri start in fourth and fifth as they bid to end this stage of the season on a high having picked up a 1-2 win in Hungary last time out.

There is no sprint this weekend so three rounds of practice will take place before Saturday qualifying.

Belgian Grand Prix weather forecast
There is a reasonable chance of rain on both Friday and Saturday, with the forecast for a wet qualifying at higher than 50 per cent. Race day shows a slightly lower chance of rain but there will be cloud cover as temperatures top out at 19ºC.
