We are fast approaching the spookiest time of year and as October draws to a close, it is hard not to hear stories of those from beyond the grave coming back to give people a scare.
Northern Ireland has a rich haunted history with many locations being the perfect spot for a ghostly tale. With Crumlin Road Gaol being ranked as one of the most haunted places in the world, would you be surprised to know the city is also home to one of the UK's most "rotten roads"?
Research carried out by Quotezone.co.uk has highlighted the most haunted highways, spooky streets and ropey roads across the UK.

With reports of ghosts, werewolves and shadowy figures said to been sighted at these locations, these are places you might want to consider avoiding on a Halloween night.
Coming in at number one on their "Most Haunted UK Roads" list is the Upper Malone Road in Belfast. Many have reported having witnessed a shadowy figure of a woman holding a baby at the entrance to Lady Dixon Park - all for her to disappear the moment they stop the car.
Many say she drowned with her child in the lake opposite the entrance and others claim she was run over by a horse and cart.

"Legend has it that the woman drowned herself and her baby in the nearby lake and now haunts the park entrance still carrying her baby in her arms."
