The parents of a young child who is waiting for a heart transplant have vowed to never let hate win, after being stunned by an anonymous letter sent to their home.
Daithi Mac Gabhann, from Ballymurphy, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and the six-year-old is waiting on the gift of a new heart. His parents Máirtín and Seph and their families, achieved a new organ donation law for Northern Ireland, known as “Daithi’s Law”.
On Wednesday, the pair had to phone police, after a handwritten letter made it to their home. Inside the envelope, addressed to Dathi's mum and dad, hateful comments were sent to the young family.

"We are extremely disappointed to receive a hateful, hand-written anonymous letter in the post today," Daithi's family said.
"This has been reported to the police. Our family and campaign will not tolerate such behaviour, and if it continues, further action will be taken."
A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live: "Police received a report of a letter received by a family in Ballymurphy this morning.
"The letter contained sectarian remarks and is being dealt with as a hate incident. The recipients of the letter have received appropriate advice from local police."
