Belfast City Half Marathon 2022: Bars near Ormeau Embankment for a drink after the race

The Belfast City Half Marathon is back again for its 9th year.

If you took part, you have probably made a lot of sacrifices while training for the 13.1 mile run so when it's all over, there will be cause for a drink to celebrate making it until the end.

We think you will definitely be entitled to a well-earned pint after you finish the course and to make life easy, and because we know you will be pretty tired afterwards, we've picked out some pubs which are just stumbling distance away from the finish line on the Ormeau Embankment.

Slightly down the road from the finish line heading in towards the town stands The Hatfield House. The always lively pub has that creamy pint of Guinness you have been dreaming of since you started training.

Pavilion Bar

Considered one of Belfast's finest venues for live music and comedy, there will be no shortage of laughter and craic at the Pavilion after you finish up the marathon. Located on the Ormeau Road, it is only a short walk from the finish line so you won't need to worry about your legs giving up.

The Errigle Inn

The Errigle Inn on the Ormeau Road has been a South Belfast pub institution since 1935, serving great food and drink to a wide range of customers, and in July 2021 it opened its refurbished roof garden.

The Botanic Inn

Slightly further away than some of the other pubs on the list, The Botanic Inn is a South Belfast institution that is worthy of the journey. With the big screens and large outdoor space, staff will be more than happy to reward you with a crisp pint after Sunday's event.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights (Google)

Northern Lights is a popular craft beer bar in Belfast, also the Ormeau Road. Known for its great atmosphere, amazing beer selection and friendly bar staff, this would be the perfect spot to wind down after that 26.2-mile run.
