Belfast bars and restaurants that are taking walk-ins when hospitality reopens outdoors on Friday

Excitement builds across Northern Ireland this week as licensed and unlicensed premises such as pubs, cafés and restaurants are able to reopen in an outdoor capacity from April 30.

But do not stress if you haven’t anywhere booked for a big night out on Friday, we have comprised a list of city centre bars and restaurants offering walk-in tables.

The National

One of the city's favourite beer gardens is delighted to welcome its customers back later this week - no bookings required.

The Thirsty Goat

(The Thirsty Goat)

You’d be ‘kidding’ yourself if you were excited for a night in The Thirsty Goat. Tables absolve for both booking and allocation on arrival.

Cutters Wharf

(Cutters Wharf)

With have ample seating for al-fresco drinking and dining, no booking is required as they will be operating on a first-come-first-served basis only.

The Dirty Onion

Operating on a completely first-come-first-served basis, this Cathedral Quarter favourite is ready to welcome back you and your dog.

The Cloth Ear

Serving up al fresco drinks and tasty toasties, The Cloth Ear outdoor bar will be open for you to enjoy on Friday.

The Maverick

Their new outdoor terrace is ready just in time to celebrate the reopening day with all their loyal customers.

The Bone Yard

A great location right in the city centre for your first night out since Christmas - all of their bookable tables are already gone for this weekend but don’t worry, their picnic benches are ready for walk-ins.

The Hatfield House

This student favourite is bound is be very busy on reopening and is not taking any bookings.

Babel

Rooftop garden with pizza and cocktails sounds like an absolutely perfect way to welcome back the bars.

The Marcus Ward

The Marcus Ward will have a number of tables available for both booking and on a first-come-first-served basis when they reopen if you are looking for a pint and some pizza.

Open on Friday for walk-ins only, tacos and beers are definitely worth the wait in this city-centre restaurant.

This lively spot on the Dublin Road will be welcoming back customers on a first-come-first-service system only on Friday so get down early.

The Sunflower

No longer will it be a ‘ Pub We Miss ’ as The Sunflower is saying welcome back on April 30 on a completely walk-ins basis.

Union Street Bar and Restaurant

They are currently not taking bookings for the weekend so be quick because it’s first-come-first-served.

The Bowery

Located on Lisburn Road, The Bowery’s terrace will be unreserved seating for both those who want food or a drink.

The Morning Star

Good food and good beer will be calling you back once again when they reopen their outdoor space on Friday.

39 Gordon Street

This busy spot has both tables available for food bookings but also a number of spaces allocated for walk-ins with no need to buy a ‘substantial meal’.

As their outdoor space is limited, this Lisburn Road restaurant will only be taking walk-ins this week.

The Jailhouse

Nestled into Joys Entry, both Henry’s and The Jailhouse do not require you to book when they reopen on Friday.

Located in the Queen's Quarter, this lovely outdoor terrace is open for those who don’t have a booking for drinks this Friday night.
