Belarusian special services played a crucial role in assisting Russia in preventing the alleged terrorists responsible for the deadly attack on a concert venue complex from escaping across the border. According to Belarus' ambassador in Moscow, Dmitry Krutoy, active cooperation between the special services of both countries was initiated immediately after the incident.
The ambassador stated that the head of the State Security Committee of Belarus was in direct communication with his Russian counterpart to coordinate efforts. The primary objective was to ensure that the perpetrators did not flee across the shared border between Belarus and Russia.
Russian authorities confirmed that the four suspects involved in the attack at the Crocus City complex near Moscow were apprehended in the Bryansk region of southwest Russia. The exact location of the apprehension was not disclosed, but Bryansk is a significant region that borders both Ukraine and Belarus, with its capital city located approximately five hours' drive from Moscow.
