As he awaits a UFC welterweight title shot, Belal Muhammad will keep himself busy with a grappling match.
Muhammad faces former UAE Warriors champion Tarek Suleiman in his professional grappling debut at ADXC 1 on Oct. 20 – one day before UFC 294. Muhammad vs. Suleiman will be a middleweight no-gi bout and serve as the co-main event at Mubadala Arena.
ADXC 1 is headlined by a welterweight matchup between former WEC and UFC champion Benson Henderson and former Bellator title challenger Neiman Gracie.
Unbeaten in his past 10 fights, Muhammad is coming off a dominant win over former title challenger Gilbert Burns at UFC 288 in May. Muhammad secured a title shot with the win but will have to wait for welterweight champion Leon Edwards to defend his belt against Colby Covington before getting his turn.
