Beef season 2: everything we know

Danny (Steven Yeun) getting out of his truck in Beef.

Beef season 2 is on the way with a brand new cast including Carey Mulligan.

Beef, for those who don't know, is a Netflix comedy-drama that revolves entirely around an escalating feud between Danny (Nope's Steven Yeun) and Amy (comedian Ali Wong) that spiraled wildly from their heated exchange on the road.

Beef's first season saw the two descend into all-out war as they continued to seek their mutual revenge, and ended up spilling out to include their nearest and dearest friends and family, too. Things definitely came to a head in the season finale, and whilst they did seem to settle their differences, there are still some lingering questions and some characters' fates that were left unanswered.

Here's what we have heard about Beef season 2 so far...

Beef season 2 is now filming, so a late 2025 release date looks possible. "We just started. Almost everything [is different]," Carey told Variety. "But it's still [creator Lee Sung] being brilliant. It's a completely new story and if I say anything else then a laser beam will appear on my head. But it’s very exciting."

Beef season 2 plot

Set in the backdrop of an elitist country club owned by a billionaire, the plot sees a young couple spy an alarming fight between their boss and his wife. Netflix has teased that this triggers "chess movies of favors and coercion".

The new series has eight 30-minute episodes.

Beef season 2 cast

Promising Young Woman star Carey Mulligan joins Oscar Isaac (Dune) in leading a brand-new cast. Also starring in the eight-part series are Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla).

The first series revolved around Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and entrepreneur Amy Lau (Ali Wong), but neither of them return for season 2.

Is there a Beef season 2 trailer?

Nope! Not yet.
