Roy Keane has named his greatest Premier League XI of Manchester United players but was forced to leave out the likes of Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand.
The 50-year-old enjoyed an illustrious career at Old Trafford but spent his formative years at the City Ground with Nottingham Forest. Although the majority of his success came with United where he won eight Premier League titles, a Champions League and four FA Cups.
Keane was speaking to Jamie Carragher and Dave Jones on Sky Sports after the Reds' comfortable 3-0 win over Brentford at Old Trafford. The curtain came down on their home campaign with three points, in what has been a disappointing season, after goals from Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane.

Here's who Roy Keane picked as his all-time United Premier League XI. Formation: 4-4-2.
Peter Schmeichel: "He was very, very good, not as good as everyone thought he was, but he was very good."
Gary Neville: "I give Nev a lot of stick, but I'll go with Nev. He was a very, very good player and a really good team-mate."
Jaap Stam: "I couldn't leave Jaap Stam out - big, strong and brave."
Gary Pallister: "Rio Ferdinand was a good athlete and read the game well, but when I first came to United, certain players would go out their way for you and Pally was always on the scene to help me. Very good player."
Denis Irwin: "Brilliant trainer, very rarely injured, always turned up in the big matches. If he was playing now, you talk about modern full-backs, he'll be up there with the best."
David Beckham: "A brilliant player, a brilliant character ... He turned up every day and put a shift in."
Bryan Robson: "Great player, full of courage and scored some big goals for United."
Paul Ince: "A very, very good player - maybe tarnished his reputation by playing for Liverpol - but a really good team-mate. Tough to leave Paul Scholes out."
Ryan Giggs: "You can't have a United team without Giggsy."
Wayne Rooney: "Wayne was different. You knew he’d be a brilliant player. We thought, ‘welcome to the party'."
Cristiano Ronaldo: "You could see the potential in him, the work rate, the desire. He’s been amazing and I still love watching him.
