Bebe Rexha goes to drastic measures to protect eyes at gig after on-stage attack

Pop superstar Bebe Rexha has taken drastic action in order to protect her eyes after getting hit in the face while on-stage in recent weeks.

Last month female musicians in America seemed to have been under attack – literally – by concertgoers who decided to physically assault them in unprovoked circumstances.

The first singer to endure a scary incident was Bebe, who was hit in the face with a phone after a "fan" lobbed it at her, leaving the singer with a nasty black eye and even needing stitches.

Next was Ava Max who was slapped by "fan" who got on-stage and even scratched the inside of her eye.

Then, while P!NK was performing in Hyde Park, London last week, somebody threw a bag of their mum's ashes on-stage in a bizarre incident.

And more recently Kelsea Ballerini was struck in the face with a bracelet that was thrown on-stage during her HEARTFIRST Tour in the US.

But Bebe, 33, is taking no risks since sustaining a nasty black eye from the phone that was thrown on-stage in New York in June, with the starlet donning some protective glasses at her latest gig.

Looking effortlessly cool in the pair of glasses, which were rimless and covered her eye area entirely, Bebe performed for her fans at Los Angeles' The Wiltern on Friday.

The blonde beauty looked incredibly glamorous as she performed for her fans, with the protective eye gear taking nothing away from the look.

Bebe sizzled in an ornate look which comprised of a tight-fitting black sequin-covered halter-neck top, some silk trousers and a sparkling jacket.

MailOnline have reported that concertgoers saw a security guard at the side of the stage and out of sight from the fans "in case someone stepped out of line".

And while performing at The Wiltern in LA, Bebe is said to have spoken directly to the crowd about throwing things.

According to concertgoers, Bebe issued two rules for the night, with them being that they shouldn't throw things and they should have fun.
