With the cost of living crisis still ongoing, many are trying desperately to find ways of saving money – whether that be making DIY McDonald's McMuffins at home, or by finding ways to save on their weekly food shop.
But some people use less conventional methods of saving money – even travelling abroad to show how much cheaper it is than in the UK.
Previously, someone flew to Ibiza to buy a pint for less than the cost of a crate of beer in the UK. Now a woman has revealed she gets her lashes done in Turkey because of how cheap it is.
Imaan Nura Turudioğlu, a beauty fan who lives in the UK, explained that she went to Turkey for an internship and killed two birds in one stone by taking a trip to a local salon to get eyelash extensions.
The content creator, who regularly posts videos under the username @imaannnnnnnnnnnn, responded to a question that asked: "Where in Istanbul did you get your lashes done? And how much did it cost?"
Imaan detailed the process in the video, revealing she went to a salon in Bakirkoy, Instanbul, Turkey called Nilay Toprak. To many people's surprise, Imaan explained she had paid only 280 Turkish Liras (£11.40) for the appointment.
The price of getting this done in the UK varies greatly, but in London it can cost upwards of £130 to get volume lash extensions, while classic ones cost anywhere between £40 to £95.
In the TikTok clip, which has now been seen by more than 430k people, Imaan can be seen showing off her flaw-less lashes.
In the comment section, people were in disbelief at how amazing they looked, and how cheap it was to get eyelash extensions in Turkey, with some tempted to get tickets just to get them done.
One person wrote: "Me booking a flight just to get my eyelashes done there."
Another agreed, saying: "280?!? That's it. I'm going to Turkey just for this."
Others simply gushed at how good they looked, with one person saying: "I loveeee". Another added: "They look so good."
