Beauty buffs are raving about a sun cream that provides factor 50 protection while hydrating and moisturising the skin. Those who have tried the sun cream say it gives the skin a gorgeous 'dewy' glow, and can be worn under any foundation without it caking on the skin in the heat.
The Daily Water Gel SPF50+ Sunscreen is Australian made and protects skin against UVA, UVB rays, sun damage and photo-ageing. It's safe for sensitive skin and is said to not leave any white cast, making it suitable for all skin types.
The Daily Water Gel SPF50+ Sunscreen contains skincare favourite ingredients to leave skin hydrated. It has hyaluronic acid to retain moisture and improve skin hydration, Aloe Vera for its anti-inflammatory, cell growth and wound healing properties. It also has wonder ingredient vitamin E to act as an antioxidant, this helps protect skin cells from damage.
Beauty buffs are swearing by it, claiming it doesn't cause any pilling with their makeup and that it manages to feel lightweight and comfortable even in more humid weather. Not only that but people have said it smells like a 'tropical beach holiday' in a bottle.
One five-star reviewer wrote: "The only sunscreen that doesn't cause pilling with makeup! Obsessed with this sunscreen! Have tried so many brands but nothing works underneath my foundation. This is the only sunscreen that works well with ALL my foundations! Does cause pilling at all, gives a nice finish and doesn't make me look greasy at the end of the day."
A second said: "Product that works! In the past, I have used multiple sunscreens and they have given breakouts either that or white cast.. This one here is really lightweight and feels comfortable even in the humid climate. I love that it doesn't leave any white cast behind either and no breakouts issue! Guess the Daily Water Gel will be adopted into my skincare routine for good!"
A third penned: "I've been hunting for an affordable sunscreen with high SPF and PA ++++ and this one delivers. I like that there's no white cast and it feels lightweight and hydrating on my skin (not a heavy texture sunscreen at all). It also blends really well under makeup with no pilling which is a bonus."
Elsewhere on Amazon, the sun cream has continued to impress those who have bought it. One Amazon customer wrote: "This is described as a water gel, but it's more like a light cream. It is certainly lighter and easier to rub into the skin than conventional sun cream and feels more like a hydrating moisturiser. I've been using it on my holiday this past week and so far haven't had any burns so it seems to be working!"
A 54-year-old who uses the product said: "My skin is 54 years old and I have never intentionally subjected it to any sun, so I have very little sun damage or wrinkles. My absolute pet hate is when any sunscreen is pilling under my makeup and this does not, so that's a huge win for me.
"This is very lightweight and sinks into my skin almost immediately and that is also a big win. It's not got your typical sunscreen smell either. It's also packed with skin 'goodies' so it's taking care of my skin in all means and ways. After a couple of weeks of trying it out, I would happily recommend it."
"Non-greasy and with a dewy finish. Has a thin cream-like consistency that feels more like a moisturiser than a sun cream. Sits lightly on the face with a dewy finish and doesn’t leave behind a white cast. It's not greasy and doesn't have a sticky formula so great for oil-prone skin like mine. I grease faster in hotter weather and find it really difficult to find a high protection sunscreen that won't grease me further but this is fantastic. Doesn't give me breakouts and applies smoothly," said another.
Somebody else wrote; "This sunscreen is made in Australia, so in my eyes that can only be a good thing due to how much sunshine they get over there! It comes in a 60ml tube with a pump. A little bit goes a long way, it rubs in well and doesn’t feel sticky or tacky at all. The scent is amazing and reminds me of lying on a sunny beach on holiday!
"This is a travel sized tube at 60ml, therefore safe to take in hand luggage and easy to throw into a tote bag for the day. £23 seems very expensive for the size of the tube, given you can buy creams that offer the same SPF protection for half the price (or less). Saying that, if you are looking for a non-greasy alternative and don't mind the price tag then I'd have no problem recommending this."
Popular alternatives include Nip + Fab's Purify Anti Pollution SPF 30 or Glossier's Invisible Shield, although Daily Water Gel is the only one to offer SPF 50+ PA++++.
You can buy the Daily Water Gel SPF50+ Sunscreen for £23 here on Coco & Eve's website, and there's the option to save 10% when buying the SPF Essentials Set which includes the £27 Body Sunscreen SPF50+.
