'Beautiful' young mum dies after collapsing on street in front of horrified onlookers

A young mum has died after collapsing in the middle of the street in front of horrified onlookers.

Ashley Carvill, from X, died in hospital after being found unresponsive in Castlemilk, Glasgow, last Wednesday (September 21).

The "beautiful" mum-of-two was described as having a "heart of gold" as her sister paid a moving tribute.

Ashley was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital last week, but sadly died in hospital four days later, the Daily Record reports.

Her devastated sister broke the sad news in a Facebook post yesterday and said: "I just couldn't face writing this out. On Sunday, my heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Every room you entered you brought light and smiles to, everyone absolutely adores you for the person you are and the way you make people feel about themselves.

"You really are one in a zillion, there's no one out there like you."

She added: "I'll never ever stop looking up to you as I always have since forever, that has never stopped for one moment, you've always been my idol and my hero, no matter what.

"You will always be my beautiful big sister, my rock, and my soulmate. I can't begin to tell you how much I am going to miss you, Ashley.

"I'm so so proud to have you as my big sister. I love you with my whole heart unconditionally, always and forever.

"Rest in Peace my angel, till we meet again."

Locals have also rushed to pay tribute to Ashley, with one offering her thoughts and prayers to her young sons.

"Heartbreaking," wrote another.

"I have so many good memories of us as kids growing up on Glenacre. Rest In Peace beautiful girl. Sending so much love to her family and kids."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Wednesday, September 21, police were called to the Arnprior Street area of Castlemilk, Glasgow, following a report of a woman taking unwell.

"She was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"Officers have since been informed that the woman died on Sunday, September 25. Next of kin have been made aware."
