A beautiful West Country town boasts the 'hottest' temperatures and enjoys the most sunshine compared to anywhere else in the UK. A new study by Cofton Holidays analysed the latest Met Office records to find Britain’s "most consistently hot and sunny holiday destinations".
Experts studied the "sunshine hours" and average yearly temperatures over the past 10 years, and found that Torbay is the destination with the most "reliably good weather ". The location is famous for caverns and caves, an impressive model village, and lots of cafes and restaurants.
The seaside town also has a stunning beach. Taking to TripAdvisor one person wrote: "We had a lovely time watching all the different beach activities happening on the day we visited; from people surfing and swimming to kite surfing; board sailing; walking dogs etc."

Another penned: "On a beautifully sunny day, this beach was practically deserted. There were two windsurfers, a kayak, a mother and son lying down, and my friend and I walking. Sand is nice, and would be good for swimming."
Lots of influencers have shared the location on TikTok as well. 6mxroa wrote: "Hidden gem in the UK", after posting a video of Torbay.
Amassing more than 33K views, tourists were keen to share their experience of the West Country spot. One person wrote: "British Turkey", another said: "Torquay is beautiful, I've been there".
Other popular towns with reliably hot weather are Brighton, Bristol, Bath and Cornwall, according to Cofton Holidays' study.
