A beautiful town in Spain is offering to pay Irish people to move there.
It is offering an attractive financial motivation for expats to relocate to the sunnier climate and breathe new life into the area.
Ponga in Asturias, in Spain's Northern region, will pay people a grant of €3,000 to settle there.

Once there, further payments of €3,000 are available but there is one catch.
The aim is to attract families, and additional payments of €3,000 each will be issued for every child born there.
Ponga is located in the heart of the Cantabrian massif and surrounded by river valleys in Asturias.
The wild and beautiful mountainous landscape is home to a host of wildlife including bears and wolves.
The hills of Asturias will be within view of your new home and you’re close to the Costa Verde for beach days and sea swimming. The nearest city is Gijon, just 88km away.
Flights from Dublin Airport to Asturias can currently be bought for around €125. The flight is only 1 hour and 55 minutes, meaning you will never be too far away for visits from loved ones.
Ponga is among a host of Spanish areas that will pay expats to live there. Such schemes tend to be put forward as a way to repopulate towns that have seen a drop in residents generally as younger generations move into big cities.
