A beautiful Scottish beach, which is regularly named among the best in the world, has been chosen as one of the best in Europe.
The TripAdvisor Traveller Choice Awards, which picks out the best things to do around the world, according to experienced travellers, has named Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris as one of the top 25 in Europe.
The beautiful beach with its white sands and aquamarine waters was picked out in seventh place on the list and is the highest British entry and the only one from Scotland.
Spiaggia dei Conigli on Lampedusa on the Islands of Sicily was named in the top spot followed by Praia da Falesia in Portugal and Playa de Muro Beach in Spain.
A hugely popular location for tourists visiting Scotland, even the weather isn't enough to deter people from visiting this natural wonder with TripAdvisor reviews branding it an “absolutely gorgeous beach”.
The award is a key reminder of how beautiful Scotland's coastlines can be, and with summer approaching it's another reason to head to our wee country for a staycation.
