The owners of a Nottinghamshire hotel have won Channel 4's Four in a Bed. Charlotte and Donna, who run Rooms at the Inn in Retford, beat their competitors to come top on last week's series, which ran from March 27 until March 31.
Every week on Four in a Bed, four hosts stay at one another's B&B and rate their stay on a variety of factors, including cleanliness and how well they sleep, with the establishment named the best value for money taking home the title of that week's champion, reports LincolnshireLive. The Retford duo were deemed the best value for money, with all of their guests paying the full amount.
An overjoyed Donna said it had been a "rollercoaster" - and one of their competitors, who came second, said they lost to some "worthy competition". On Tuesday's episode, the hosts impressed their guests early on with their "bright, fresh and beautiful" rooms, and a fellow hotelier praised the "nice touch" of a mini-fridge in guests' rooms.

Scunthorpe hotelkeepers Emily and Yanna paid £75 for their night's stay and said it was a "blooming bargain", while both Manchester host Karlie and Nottingham glampsite owner Rob paid the full price of £64 and said it was a great value for money. An almost tearful Charlotte said it was great to know that they were doing the "right thing".
But during their episode, the two were left feeling disappointed after Karlie and Rob said they woke up tired after a loud humming noise, apparently coming from next door, kept them up. Karlie wrote in her feedback: "Didn't have the best sleep, [a] dull humming sound kept me awake, possibly the boiler next door. Bed was comfy though."
Charlotte said that while it was a shame, she would take "that on the chin" and accepted the criticism. However, they were less than thrilled with Rob scoring them a four out of 10, which Charlotte branded "unjustified" and "ridiculous" considering they provided earbuds.
The duo clarified on Facebook shortly after the episode aired that the issue had been fixed. They wrote: "Just to clarify we don't have a noise problem anymore from the pub's fan. It was fixed very soon after the show.
"It was only ever an issue in three out of our 10 rooms. We tried several ways to get it sorted it wasn't a quick easy process. It did it more in the warmer months hence our guests unfortunately hearing it but we are happy to say it's no more."
They clashed again with Karlie during the final episode, when hosts can quiz each other on the scores they left, with the Mancunian grilling the two on why they rated her cleanliness a three. Unfortunately, Charlotte and Donna's stay had got off to a pretty poor start when they uncovered what they thought was a patch of urine in their room - and they ended up underpaying by £45.
But despite the sleeping issues and the noise, Rooms at the Inn finished off with a final bill average of 100% and took home the 'Four in a Bed' plaque. Wrapping up the episode, Charlotte said: "We're proud of each other, we're proud of our place and we've put it on the map."
