Beautiful sunset paddleboard tours of Skerries have returned to bring Dubs a truly gorgeous experience this summer.
If there was one positive to come from lockdowns and varying restrictions, it was the opportunity to discover what is right on our doorstep. Skerries is perhaps one of the most underrated seaside destinations in Dublin with its range of things to do in the area, great restaurants and lovely beaches.
Perhaps the biggest draw to the north Dublin town for summer 2022 is these stunning sunset stand-up paddle boarding tours of the harbour.

Run by Skerries woman Megan Boylan, the tours have proven to be mega popular with Dubliners since they were first established in 2020.
Megan told Dublin Live how her summers in America inspired her to bring such an experience to Dublin and that people have loved taking to the water as the sun sets over the bustling little town.
She revealed: "It's the third summer running and we've had an unreal past two summers getting booked out which was great.
"One particular summer I went away to America and found a water sports place that did sunset tours. I've been obsessed with sunsets since a young age.
"I thought it was unreal in America. People would propose on the boards and everything. That's where the idea first came from."
Megan told us that Skerries is the only west facing harbour on the west coast of Ireland, making it the perfect place to host sunset tours.
Explaining to the sunset paddle board tours of Skerries came to be, she said: "I talked about it for ages. Then it was the pandemic.
"I spent most of May and June on the beach with my friends because none of us were working. I ordered a bunch of paddle boards, I set up a page, brought my friends out to test it out, launched it for the summer and word spread around.
"I was booking out each month. I'm excited for this summer. I hope we get the good weather again."
Megan's unique business offering has proven to be popular among Dubliners and Megan is hoping for another busy summer of sunset tours.
She added: "So many people think it's amazing. I have a lot of beginners, so if people want to go out on the water, try to stand or even sit on their bums and just watch the sunset, they still really enjoy it."
