A POPULAR seaside castle near Scotland's "Town of the Year" is looking to hire new workers and will offer successful applicants free accommodation.
Barcaldine Castle is a 17th-century tower house near the town of Barcaldine, around nine miles north of Oban, that is operated as a luxury bed and breakfast.
At the time of writing, the B&B is on the lookout for two employees for its Seasonal Housekeeper and General Assistant roles.

According to the Daily Record, the roles would be available on a temporary basis and last from March 27 until October 31. Those employed for these roles will be paid a monthly salary of £2000.
The free accommodation provided will consist of a "beautiful" one-bedroom apartment with utilities and council tax being covered by the employer.
The B&B has said that one pet is welcome to live at the property with the owner(s) and that other benefits of these roles include a housing allowance and on-site parking.
Duties are said to include the cleaning of guest rooms, stock management and customer service.
The listing states that applicants should be "physically fit" and have previous housekeeping and customer service experience.
A driver's licence is also required with those applying needing to own their own car.

The job listing on Indeed states: "We are seeking a couple or two friends/family happy to share one bedroom accommodation. Please include a cover message with your application giving the name of the other person you are applying with.
"We regret we can not accept applications from lone applicants due to our limited staff accommodation."
The B&B is popular with visitors, receiving a 5/5 from 517 reviews on Tripadvisor.
One person wrote: "The service and hospitality was superb and our breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We stayed in the Bredlebane Room and it was just a dream come true."
Another added: "The castle was beautiful inside and out but what made our stay so special was how accommodating Stefano was. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the history of the castle was fascinating."
Nearby Oban was named Scotland's "Town of the Year" at the 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards where it was praised as a "thriving" community.
