Conor McGregor has been branded a "beast" after fans hailed his ripped physique during his recent training session.
The Irishman posted footage of his boxing training earlier this month as he took the latest step on his road to recovery from a broken leg. He is plotting a return to the octagon later this year and has the option of fighting in two weight divisions after reaching 190lbs during his time out of action.
McGregor trained again at his amateur boxing gym yesterday with one fan excited by the star's return, commenting: "What a beast, the comeback will be worth it."
Another fan agreed: "This man is going to be a problem when he gets back. Looking in great shape." A fan believed it was the best shape of his career, adding: "Best physical condition so far keep up the fighting for Ireland."
One fan also praised his shape, saying: "My bro is looking like a missile launcher with an incendiary rocket in it!"
Anther fan criticised his focus on boxing, however, saying: "Stop focusing so much on boxing if you’re going to still compete in MMA, you’ve lost your last fights because you try and box go back to the relaxed karate stance."
But a final fan proposed a boxing fight after seeing his shape: "Wow he looks ripped, Conor vs Canelo Alvarez is going to be lit."
McGregor has faced criticism from a recent video of his return to boxing training with fans concerned by his technique. YouTube star Jake Paul also had his say by mocking his stance and claiming that he could knock out his rival after seeing the footage.

However the UFC star is more focused on his return to action and is looking to halt a decline that has resulted in three defeats in his last four bouts. McGregor is now eyeing a return at 170lbs with several options lined up including a shot at the BMF belt against Jorge Masvidal.
The 33-year-old has also called for a title shot at pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman after admitting he has conquered all his ambitions at 155lbs when he became champion in 2016. "Why cut the weight? I've already won the 155-pound title," he told TheMacLife.
"I got myself to a lightweight frame, but you know, I'm big now, I feel big, I feel strong, I feel healthy. I've got good energy. I'm coming back from a gruesome injury. I don't want to be depleting myself. There should be no need to deplete myself.
“I believe versus Usman for the 170lb title for my comeback is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. I haven’t really said that to no one to be honest, I’ve only been thinking that for the last couple of days."
