Residents and businesses on an East Dunbartonshire road were left without water for hours, as they were advised to fill pots and pans in a bid to stock up.
Scottish Water undertook unplanned works on Grampian Way in Bearsden on Tuesday morning. The unplanned works were carried out to repair a burst pipe.
Locals were urged to full up pots and pans at around 10am while the water was turned off. Repairs have now been completed but properties on the street are still experiencing low and, or intermittent water pressure.
Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the year, with temperatures set to reach 29 degrees. The combination of water shortage and heat left locals frustrated.

Scottish Water apologised for any inconvenience caused.
A spokesperson said: "A repair to a burst water main on Grampian Way, Bearsden has been successfully repaired. Our team worked as quickly as possible to complete the repair and all customers should soon have their water supply fully restored.
"Some may experience low pressure or discoloured water for a short period and they should run their cold water kitchen tap gently until it runs clear. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding, particularly given the extreme heat most of Scotland is experiencing today.”
