The Chicago Bears are trading star linebacker Roquan Smith to the Baltimore Ravens as general manager Ryan Poles continues to build for the future. Now, we have full terms for the trade.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bears are receiving a 2023 second- and fifth-round picks from the Ravens, as well as linebacker A.J. Klein. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Chicago is paying Smith $4.833 million of his remaining $5.408 million contract, while Baltimore is paying hi $575,000 for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Chicago now has nine draft picks heading into the 2023 NFL draft — including three selections in the first two rounds — which will allow Poles to prioritize a number of needs on offense and defense.
The Bears have now traded two defensive stars over the last week — Smith and defensive end Robert Quinn — and Poles is looking to the future. And they might not be done ahead of the trade deadline.
