The Chicago Bears may not be considered one of the better teams in the NFL, but the team boasts a top 10 ranking in one crucial, under-appreciated category: social media.
In a recent article published by Complex, the Bears managed to prove they can remain on the cutting edge of social media fads and trends despite being one of the oldest teams in the league, ranking as the ninth-best NFL social media account.
It seems that Complex abstained from giving the Bears an additional superlative because, unless our math is wrong, Chicago also was the MISMT (Most Improved Social Media Team), leaping from an abysmal ranking of 31 in 2022’s list to the ninth spot.
The Bears’ top 10 ranking comes as no surprise to those who have enjoyed the team’s stellar content on social media accounts, such as Twitter or Instagram.
One recent standout production by the social team was a video unveiling the Bears’ upcoming 2023 schedule; a short film that pays loving homage to Hulu’s “The Bear.” The short features Bears legends of the past and present, celebrity cameos and, of course, light jabbing at those unenlightened tourists who actually WANT ketchup on their hotdogs.
The Bears are sandwiched between the two most recent Super Bowl participants on the list, with the champion Chiefs at No. 10 and the Eagles at No. 8. Chicago also scores a big victory over Green Bay, who acts as the bottom feeder of the list, falling flat at 32.
