Bears signing DL Rasheem Green to 1-year deal

The Chicago Bears are signing former Houston Texans defensive lineman Rasheem Green to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Green was a third-round pick in 2018 by the Seattle Seahawks where he enjoyed a successful run. His best year with the Seahawks came in 2021 where he tallied 48 total tackles (six for a loss) and 6.5 sacks as an outside linebacker. Last season, he recorded 42 total tackles (five for a loss) and 3.5 sacks in 16 games. In five seasons, Green has 17 career sacks and free forced fumbles.

The 25-year old defensive lineman joins the Bears as another rotational player. He joins former Tennessee Titans pass rusher DeMarcus Walker as the second defensive end to sign with the Bears this offseason.
