Jones was selected by the Bears and general manager Ryan Poles in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft after a breakout season at the University of Tennessee.
The 25-year old spent much of his career as a return specialist both at USC and Tennessee, but became a major threat on offense for the Volunteers during his final college season. He totaled 62 catches for 807 yards and seven touchdowns on offense while also adding a kickoff return touchdown on special teams.
Boasting impressive speed, reflected by his 4.31 40-yard dash time, as well as his strength, Jones will be counted on as a key contributor on offense as the Bears look to establish a new identity with head coach Matt Eberflus and offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.
With Jones officially under contract, cornerback Kyler Gordon and safety Jaquan Brisker are the only rookies who remain unsigned.
