Bears QB Justin Fields makes NFL history in performance vs. Dolphins

Bears quarterback Justin Fields is developing into a star before our very eyes, and he had a record-breaking performance in a 35-32 loss to the Dolphins.

Fields made it a frustrating afternoon for Miami’s defense (and head coach Mike McDaniel), completing 17-of-28 passes for 123 yards and three touchdowns for a 106.7 passer rating.

But it Fields’ success on the ground that really killed the Dolphins defense, where the second-year quarterback made history with his rushing performance.

Fields rushed for 178 yards, the most by a quarterback in a single regular-season game in NFL history. That included an impressive 61-yard touchdown run, where Fields showed his star power.

Fields broke the previous record set by Michael Vick, who had 173 rushing yards. The all-time record is held by Colin Kaepernick, who rushed for 181 yards in a playoff game.
