Bears quarterback Justin Fields has been one of the NFL’s most electrifying players over the last month, especially when it comes to running the ball.
Fields leads the NFL with 640 rushing yards since Week 6. Not just among quarterbacks, all players. Fields added another 85 yards on the ground in last Sunday’s loss to the Falcons.
The second-year quarterback made history recording a passing and rushing touchdown in five straight games, tying Arizona’s Kyler Murray for the NFL record.
Through 11 weeks, Fields has 834 rushing yards, which is fifth in the NFL. He trails running backs Derrick Henry (1,010), Saquon Barkley (953), Josh Jacobs (930) and Nick Chubb (923).
Fields is on pace to break Lamar Jackson’s single-season rushing record by a quarterback. Jackson rushed for 1,206 yards in 2019, and Fields is on pace for 1,288.
Although, Fields is dealing with a left shoulder injury that could force him to miss time. Even if that’s not the case, the injury might force Fields to play it safe when it comes to running the ball.
