New Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is busy assembling his coaching staff, which includes some familiar faces from his time with the Colts and some well-known names across the NFL.
With the importance of Justin Fields’ development, assembling the offensive coaching staff is of vital importance. And it sounds like Chicago is nearing another hire.
According to SI’s Albert Breer, the Bears are interviewing former Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady for a position on Eberflus’ coaching staff.
Given Luke Getsy has already been hired as offensive coordinator, Brady would appear to be interviewing for either the quarterbacks coach or wide receivers coach.

Brady was the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator at LSU when they won the National Championship in 2019. He previously served as the offensive coordinator in Carolina from 2020-21, and he was fired last December.
Someone else who’s garnered some attention for quarterbacks coach in Minnesota’s Andrew Janocko, who Brad Biggs named as someone to watch. If the Bears hired Brady as receivers coach and passing game coordinator, perhaps they’d bring in Janocko to work with Fields.
