There’s a rumor out of Chicago that the Bears aren’t very happy with how former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is performing and his level of motivation. This is per Chicago radio personality Marc “Silvy” Silverman via NFL reporter Dov Kleiman.
According to the reports, the Bears aren’t happy with the fact that Claypool isn’t very self-motivated. A trait that showed itself pretty quickly once he got to the NFL. The Steelers traded Claypool to the Bears last season for a second-round pick. That pick turned into cornerback Joey Porter Jr. who has all the makings of a future superstar and a Pittsburgh legacy.
Claypool always looked like a guy who was going to do the bare minimum on the field. He got by because of his physical stature and athleticism but too many times he missed on simple plays that showed a lack of discipline and ultimately made him expendable.
