Bears fans think Rich Bisaccia would be home-run hire as special teams coordinator

Matt Eberflus was just announced as the new Bears head coach, and we’re already getting a look at the coaching staff he has in mind.

According to Brad Biggs, Eberflus is looking zeroing in on Rich Bisaccia as the Bears’ new special teams coordinator.

Bisaccia has served as the Las Vegas Raiders special teams coordinator and assistant head coach since 2018. He served as the Raiders’ interim head coach for most of the 2021 season following the departure of Jon Gruden last October.

Recently, Bisaccia interviewed for the Raiders’ head coach vacancy. But the belief around the NFL is that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is the favorite for the job. And if that’s the case, there’s a great chance Bisaccia winds up in Chicago.

Bears fans aren’t just excited about the possibility, they’re downright thrilled. If Eberflus is able to land Bisaccia as his special teams coordinator, it would be an absolute home-run hire.
