NFL teams are finally allowed to wear alternate helmets beginning in the 2022 season and many franchises have been busy unveiling new looks and colors that will be worn for specific games. Now, it’s the Chicago Bears turn to jump on the bandwagon.
The Bears revealed their new orange alternate helmet on Sunday afternoon, complete with the blue “C” as their logo outlined in white, and a blue facemask as well. The helmets will be worn during their Thursday Night Football matchup at home against the Washington Commanders on October 13th, as well as their road matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on October 30th. The Bears will also don their orange alternate jerseys with the new helmets for each game.
Aside from the blank blue helmets that are worn with their throwback uniforms, this is the most drastic change to their headwear in decades.
